Why Mudiwa

Made for love that lasts

  • Real people, real intentions

Everyone you talk to has shown it’s really them, and everyone says what they’re hoping for. No guessing, no games.

  • Your heart, your business

Who you like stays private. Nobody sees exactly where you are, and your messages never show on your lock screen.

  • Easy on your bundle

Keep talking without watching every megabyte. Mudiwa uses as little data as it can.

How it works

From hello to something real

  1. 1

    Be yourself

Add your favourite photos, answer a few prompts and say what you’re hoping for. A quick selfie shows it’s really you; it’s never on your profile.

  2. 2

Meet people who want what you want

See who’s near you and what they’re looking for. A daily limit on likes means every one counts.

  3. 3

    Say mhoro when it’s mutual

When you both like each other, the chat opens. We’ll help with the first word; the rest is your story.

Safety

Open your heart. We’ll look after the rest.

  • A gentle word when something’s off

If someone asks you for money, Mudiwa quietly warns you and makes it easy to tell us.

  • A real team behind you

Tell us when something feels wrong. A person looks into it, urgent things within 2 hours, and we’ll let you know what we did.

  • Someone you trust, in the loop

Going on a date? Share your plans with a friend or family member, and Mudiwa checks in on you when it should be over.

  • You’re always in control

Block or report anyone in two taps, from their profile or your chat. They’re never told it was you.

Questions

Good to know

Is Mudiwa for serious relationships?

Yes. Mudiwa is for people who want something real, whether that’s a friendship that grows or a marriage. Everyone says what they’re hoping for, so you can meet people who want the same.

Is Mudiwa free?

Yes. Mudiwa is free while we launch, with no ads in the app. If paid extras come later, they’ll be optional, and we’ll tell you first.

Who can join?

Adults aged 18 and over, anywhere in Zimbabwe. We’re welcoming women first, so men may wait a little while we keep things balanced. Before you message anyone, a quick selfie shows it’s really you.

Why do you ask for a selfie?

So everyone you talk to knows you’re real, and you know they are too. Only our check and our review team see it. It’s never on your profile.

Which phones does it work on?

Mudiwa is coming to iPhone and Android. Until then, the Android beta is open to everyone.

Where is Mudiwa available?

All over Zimbabwe, from Harare and Bulawayo to Mutare, Gweru, Masvingo and Victoria Falls. If you’re a Zimbabwean abroad, join the list and we’ll tell you when we open to you.

How do I delete my account?

In the app, go to Settings, then Account, then Delete. You can also do it on this website. Your profile is hidden straight away and your data is erased within 30 days.
